BR How We Make Products

イメージ
People make lots of products with big machines in factories. People also make products by hand. I think that it is very tough to make products by hands.  In comparison, making products by many machines makes it easy to make products largely at a time.  However, there are some problems with making by machines. That means people have to be involved in machinery. I was able to understand that making products by hands and by machine has both good and bad points. Alex Raynham.(2011). How We Make Products. No one found Oate's body. But he is there, somewhere, under the snow and the wind, in the coldest, emptiest place on earth. I think this story is very sad story. This story is about race of two corps. Scott corp was unfortunate because they was not able to win the race, moreover, all of them died. I think many people think they are unfortunate too. For them, however, their life that is devoted to reach Antarctica faster than anyone is proud. They are very cool. TIM VICARY (2003). THE COLDEST PLACE ON EARTH. OXFORD BOOKWORMS LIBRARY

“Why does everybody look so sad?” “I am the Lord of Tears, and soon I will be the master of the world. Soon there will be no more laughter and no more smiles." “Sarah took the mirror and held it in front of the Lord’s face.” “The Lord of Tears laughed and laughed until his skull broke into a thousand pieces." “Hello, love, her mum said with a smile." In this story, everyone doesn't laugh. So, Sarah and Ben wonder if there is a way to take back everyone's smile. They had the same dream which lord of Tears appeared and because of his, everyone doesn't smile. They met him and they took back everyone's smile at length. Christian Holzmann(2007) The Lost Smile. It's August. Anna is playing her guitar on the balcony of her new apartment. "I like it here." she thinks. Then her phone rings. It's her friend Vicki. "I'm coming now, Anna. It's Grandview Apartments, Charlton, isn't it?" "That's right. See you soon." Anna, a music student, comes across a man with white roses, Will outside her apartment building. They don't talk to each other, but they cannot forget each other. One day, Will's friend asks him to take a friend of his to her apartment. I think it is possible to fall in love at first sight, but I have never fallen in love at first sight. I want to meet a woman who I fall in love at first sight. Christine, L. (2008). Red Roses . Oxford University Press.

BR Alice in Wonderland

Alice fell down and down. But she fell very slowly and didn't feel afraid. "What' going to happen next?" She wondered. I watched the movie of Alice when I was a young. I was very enjoy to read the book and the movie. I like this book because the story is very fantasy and the characters are individual. Especially I like the cat and the rabbit. They are very important characters in this story, and they are kind to Alice. Carroll, Lewis. (2000). Alice in Wonderland. London: Penguin Readers.

BR The Big Balloon Race

Balloon Farm was a strange farm. In the yard half-filled ballons sat like giant mushrooms. People came from all over to buy balloons made by Mr. Myers. Ariel watched her father fold Carlotta's balloon, Lucky Star. I enjoyed reading this book very much. First, I think this book's picture is very cute. There are many colorful baloons's picture, so I can enjoy reading this book. I thought it is also interesting that there are Balloon Farms. There are a lot of balloons in the farm. It is very interesting configuration. I want to ride on a balloon someday. And travel many places.

BR Fireball's Heart

It's a quiet evening in the prairie. Chief Strong Buffalo and Chief Wise Owl are sitting round a fire.  "My people are great hunters. They can find fish in the river and animals in the woods and on the prairie. They speak the language of the trees and the flowers. And they know the name of all the stars," says Chief Strong Buffalo. I think that I want to try to experience life like Native American at once.  Now, we are surrounded many electronic things like TV, computers, smartphone and tablets.  We can live more convenient than ever. However, I feel it is not good for us sometimes. Because, if we use these things every day for many years, our body must be tired. So I think it is good for us to live without electronic things.    Herbert, P. (2007). Fireball's Heart . Helbling Readers.

The sun, from sadness, will not shine at all today. There was never a sadder story than this story of Romeo and Juliet." (P.5)  I love English Literature very much, so I decided to read this book. I read Romeo and Juliet for the first time when I was high school. I was very moved and felt sad and great. Then I become reading a lot of his book. I want to be able to read his original book.  This book is famous for around the world. It is sad love story. However, the words of this book is very beautiful and great. I think, the book's words is the most beautiful in the world.  Romeo and Juliet is loved by people who live around the world for a long time. I want to meet a man who is like Romeo. William, Shakespeare. (2002). Romeo and Juliet . London: Penguin Readers.

BR Rapunzel

Mr. and Mrs. Rose lived in a small house that looked onto a beautiful garden - a garden they never dared enter... ...because it belonged to a wicked and powerful witch .(P.3and4)  I read this book because I have watched the movie which was made by Disney. I want to read original story of Rapunzel, so I read this book.  There are a lot of difference in the book. For example, in the movie, Rapunzel has lived in the tower since she was very young. However, in the book, she has lived in the tower since she was eleven years old. It is very different from original book. Also, one prince climbed the tower by himself and entered her house, and met her in the movie. But, in the book, prince climbed the tower by using her hair.  I was able to enjoy reading this book, because I know both of Rapunzel's story, and I was able to compared the story. It was very fun. Georgina, Swinburne. (2000). Rapunzel . London: Usborne young reading.

The sun is coming up over London, and the city is coming alive. There are always lots of visitors in London, but today something is different. On the Mall, some of the visitors are sleeping in chairs near the road, and others are standing and talking. More and more people are walking, driving, and talking trains into the city. Everybody took photos of prince William when he first arrived at the University of St Andrews. Crowds of people came to the little Scottish town to see this new student who is ninetten years old and grandson of the Queen of England. But nobody photographed Kate Middleton on her first day at the university. She moved in quietly, ready to begin her studies in art history. She was just an ordinary student with an ordinary future in front of her. I was able to enjoy reading this book, becaus there are a lot of beautiful pictures of them. I have been to England, so I want to go there once more. Christine, L. (2013). William and Kate . Oxford Bookworms L
