Kings & Queens of Britain

イメージ
This is the story of Boudicca, Alfred, Henry VIII and many other kings band queens, some great, some not so great. Each of them changed the history of Britain. But to become queen in 1558, like Elizabeth I, was a very different thing to becoming queen in 1953, like Elizabeth II. They have the same name, but the job is very different. This book tells us just how it changed . Today, I read Kings and Queens of Britain. This book tells me about Britain's history of a long line of kings & queens. According to this book, ancient kings & queens  laid weight on war, goverment. However, Queen Elizabeth II lay weight on the nation. She meets a lot of people, and she talks and listens to them. So, she loves people, and she is loved by people!! I think that this way is the best way! Vocablary church: 教会 Parliament: 議会 Tim Vicary(2002) Kings and Queens of Britain OXFORD BOKWORMS 1
